International Health Workforce Collaborative LogoIMWC conferences explained

This series of International Medical Workforce Collaborative (IMWC) conferences brings together policy makers, academics, researchers and practitioners from the United States, Canada, Australia and United Kingdom with responsibility for and interests in medical workforce issues. The approach taken seeks to be rigorous and evidence based. Participation in this conference is by invitation only. (Click here for more information on the IMWC and past conferences.

This year, the conference program will include a pre-conference day under the theme of inter-professional care. The main conference program is divided under the five following themes:

The format of the conferences has been designed to generate as much interaction amongst the participants as possible. Each country prepares a research paper on the above conference themes. The papers are circulated in advance to all participants. Pre-selected discussants present a compilation of the papers for each theme as a prelude to opening discussion to the floor and in break-out sessions.
